AEF Base assessments - Front University

This page shows the assessments which should be taken in conjunction with AEF Base certification. These are controlled assessments - this means that you need to contact Front University in advance in order to agree a start date for the tests. To do so, please use the registration links on this page.

The AEF Base learning plan has information about which courses or prior knowledge are required before attempting these assessments. If you want to attend any courses please use the course registration form.

Note: You should be registered on the AEF Base certification program before registering for and completing these assessments.

D11: AEF Base - Starting with AEF

Takes 1-4 hours
Consists of 20 multi-choice / fill in the blank type questions
Mandatory for AEF Base certification
Participants are asked to specify the date on which they would like to take the test

Test is graded automatically and the participant is informed immediately whether they have passed

D12: AEF Base - Python ACM & AEL Part 1

Takes 1-4 hours
Consists of 10 multi-choice / fill in the blank type questions
Mandatory for AEF Base certification
Participants are asked to specify the start of a 14-day period in which both Part 1 (D12) are Part 2 (D13) tests are to be completed

Test is graded automatically and the participant is informed immediately whether they have passed

If you pass this test, you may continue immediately with Part 2

D13: AEF Base - Python ACM & AEL Part 2

Takes 2-10 hours
Consists of 8 programming assignments in both ACM and AEL Python
Mandatory for AEF Base certification
Can only be attempted after you have passed Part 1
Participants are asked to specify the start of a 14-day period in which both Part 1 (D12) are Part 2 (D13) tests are to be completed

D14: AEF Base - ARENA SQL

Takes 1-4 hours
Online assessment requires you to write 2 simple queries
Mandatory for AEF Base certification
Participants are asked to specify the date on which they would like to take the test

D15: AEF Base - ADFL & ACM

Takes 2-5 hours
Consists of 6 multi-choice / fill in the blank type questions and 1 practical exercise
Mandatory for AEF Base certification
Participants are asked to specify the start of a 7-day period in which they would like to take the test
